Breaking The Shackles

Tales Of My Adventure Moving Away To Experience Life Abroad.

You've got questions...I've got answers.

Did it taste like ... chicken?
Yea it actually did quite a bit. It was weird, it was like a chicken taste with a fish texture.

Did you get the recipe?
Nope, this was at a restaurant so I just ordered it.

How easy is it to make this dish at home ... can u buy LIVE bullfrog at the market?
Seems like it'd be pretty easy to make at home. They looked as though they were deskinned, de-eyed/deorganed and then boiled. It was like a soup with all this hot spicy stuff in the broth, they came and ladled all the spices out (you're not supposed to eat the soup). It also had some vegetables in there too. So you'd reach in a pull out this frog carcass eat all the meat and toss away the bones.

I've seen live bullfrogs/frogs before in a market, as well as at restaurants. I've also seen turtles, snakes, chickens, dogs, craw fish, different type of fish and that's all I can think of at the moment.

Feel free to ask more questions

Mmmm ... sounds good ... can you get dog to eat anywhere around there? There were lots of places in Vietnam that had "thit cao" (pronounced teet chow more of less)
Recent got a PS3 after the big news price decrease. An additional bonus is that they are discontinuing the 60 gig series and the replacement will not have the hardware support for PS2 software, but only use software emulation (which evidently is considered inferior). I also intend to use it for blue ray DVD's (haven't yet). I got Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV ... pretty awesome on the 37".

We have all been busy lately. Your dad will be in tonight and I got in last night from San Antonio. We took Natalie to the zoo while Anne was taking classes in Edinburg and saw a bullfrog. (yummy) Do you at least get a couple to eat or are they super big over there?
There is flooding all over Texas this summer. The river outside of Corpus is all over the place and over the access roads and about to go over 35/37 going to San Antonio and Houston. You can only see the tops of the goal posts. Its like that all along the freeways. Kevin says that when the mosquitos hit the windshield it look like a bloody battle zone. They are horrible, big and full. Your dad better take a bath in deet when he moves the lawns out there.
Take care,
Linda
