Shopping in a Chinese/Taiwanese computer store

Saw this video on youtube, and this shows basically what it's like to go shopping in a "computer city" in China. This is in Taiwan, but it's the same thing.

I ran into this video randomly while browsing youtube - sometimes that's when you find the craziest things!

Old Games

Does anyone (Dad/Patrick?) remember that old war game you used to play back when we first got PCs. It was all in monochrome, you had to leave the room to issue commands. It was tanks and artillery and thing. Think we had it when we had our XT 8088 or 386.

I can't remember that name. I think Dad used to play it with Gene too - not just Patrick.

...

Well the online upgrade for WOW came up, so I decided to take advantage of that. It wasn't going through, so finally I called them and was able to get the upgrade to Wrath of the Lich King.

Birthday, World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King Expansion, China - What do all of these have in common?

The answer is simple... I play World of Warcraft (WOW) and the brand new expansion pack came out in America today called: Wrath of the Lich King. I can't get it here in China... So what do you do? You realize that your birthday is coming up and ask for it as a gift since you're halfway across the world!

Basically all I you'd have to do is for someone to purchase the game (Regular version is $39.99 / Collector's Edition is $69.99) open it, EMAIL me the cdkey which is what upgrades my account and then store the game box somewhere until I get back to the States next-year.

I REALLY really really want the Collector's Edition, but as a birthday gift, I'd be fine w/ the Regular edition too.

So how bout it? :)

President-Elect Barack Obama Victory Speech

This speech gave me goosebumps. We all need to come together and proceed forward so that we may become United again. It's in our countries name, we cannot afford to be divided any longer, nor should we accept the division.
